The Guys Guide to making Valentine’s Day extra special

1) Cook a meal they’ll love.

Sometimes it’s the smallest things in life that make the biggest difference, and if your partner’s always the one cooking for you when you come home then it might be nice to switch it up a bit, and maybe cook their favourite food. It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant, but maybe just avoiding the takeaway for tonight, and maybe just buying a few things in will really make the difference and show that you’ve thought about them.

2) Treat them to a long-lasting gift.

We all know how hard it is these days to find time for each other with busy careers and busy lives, but a really great idea for Valentine’s is to write out a selection of vouchers that your partner can cash in whenever they like. So this could be anything from a night in to maybe a personal massage after work. And these don’t really cost anything, but they really speak from the heart.

3) Plan a road trip with just the two of you.

Oh, heaven forbid the thought that we better spend time together this Valentine’s Day. I mean we might actually have to talk to each other. I know but actually, you do love this person, so it might be a good idea to do it, and besides everyone has busy lives rushing to and from work, so getting away even for just a little while I’m sure will make your relationship even stronger.

4) Take the plunge, get down on one knee and pop the big question.

Whoa, I didn’t expect this on Valentine’s Day you might think, but this might just be the perfect time to show your partner that you want to take your relationship to the next level. Proposing is very exciting and nerve-racking too, but if you know they’re the one, life’s too short. Go for it, and I’m sure that you will have an absolutely amazing Valentine’s Day.
