Frequently asked questions

Why have a Wedding Video?

We think having a Wedding Videographer will be one of the best decisions you ever make, here’s why:
At OrFactor Productions, we understand how much time and effort goes into creating the perfect wedding. Those sleepless nights perhaps even a few disagreements and trying to pin down every last detail to ensure that everything for your special day is perfect.

We feel it would be such a shame for you not to document this day you’ve spent so long planning.

Some couples just don’t realise how fast their wedding day will go and we often find it’s a nice reflection for them too, to look back on their day from a “bird’s eye view”.

Isn’t a photographer enough?

We think it’s good to have a photographer for your special day, however, photographs can only showcase so much that will only be truly clear once your wedding day is long gone.

Imagine diving back into that time on your special day, in 10, 20 or 30 years from now, exactly as it was then, with true to life audio and in full colour.

Some of our clients described our videos as their “own personal time machine, years ahead from now”, and we cannot agree more with this statement.

Having a professional video for special day will allow you to dive into these memories at any given time and allow it to be passed down for years to come.

That is how powerful we feel a video can be.

That is why we think you’d be absolutely mad not to have one.

How much will it cost?

Wedding videos are a lot more cost effective than you might think.

Just think for one moment.

Can you put a price on what was to happen if the filming on your special day somehow went wrong, they cocked it up?

It’s not worth thinking about is it.

That’s why we believe having a professional Videographer is well worth the investment.

We have lots of different packages to suit every style and budget.

What and when do I need to pay?

The amount you need to pay will be written on your invoice, but is usually 20%.

The final amount is due 14 days before the wedding date and again this final amount will be shown on the invoice we send you.

How long until I get the finished video?

Videos normally take around 30 days- 2 months depending on demand.

You can always upgrade to our express editing service if you want your video sooner.

How will my video be delivered to me?

This depends what package you have selected.

You may get physical copies through the post, or a web link or both. We will normally make this clear beforehand but please contact us if you are unsure about what you have ordered.

What happens if I do not like my first video edit?

If there is any reason you are unhappy with your first video edit, we will do another absolutely free of charge. It’s part of our happiness guarantee

Can we have a chat, drink some free wine and see some examples before I commit?

Of course, we would be happy to have a chat and show you some examples before you make a decision on if we are the right videographers for you.

If we agree to meet in a coffee shop, just let us know what you’d like to drink there and then and we will do the rest! If we are visiting your home let us know what wine/tea or coffee you prefer and we will gladly bring that round while we have a look at some different options.

Cheers to that!

Why hire a professional? Can’t Uncle Phil do it?

He could, although, this is the most special day of your life and we feel you cannot put a price on those special moments. Not only would it take Uncle Phil away from the special day, you might end up with something you really didn’t want.

That’s why we go through with you in detail step by step and can work out a plan that suits you and your budget to ensure you get that perfect video.

When do you arrive?

Depending on which package you select we will arrive at a pre-set time we have agreed with you, contact us if you are unsure.

Do you ever leave?

What makes us different is we don’t leave your wedding until we have captured everything valuable which will be after the first dance. Please let us know if there is anything important happening after this time and we will make sure we capture it. Otherwise, we will assess the situation and chat with you before leaving on the day (if you’re still sober!). If we can’t find you or an official we will make our best guess on when to leave.

Will I have to provide food for you?

You don’t have to, but it would be really nice if you did!

The only reason we ask as we like to be on hand when things change quickly. Going offsite to buy food will take us away from what we do best, capturing your day.

What format will my video come in?

We normally always provide electronic versions of our videos. In addition we may also provide DVD’s.

Please check your package and contact us should you be unsure on the format of your video.

Can my video be colour graded?

Of course, you can upgrade your package with colour grading if you don’t already have it.

You can see a before and after of what colour correction looks like below.

Can I have a drone for my wedding?

Of course, but this will have to be cleared by the venue.

We use a dedicated company who conduct all of our drone footage safely and legally.

If you let as know as soon as possible we will check availability and ask the venue on your behalf.

Can I order extra copies of the video for family/friends?

Of course, just email us and let us know.

Can I publish the video on social media?

Of course, just upload the file we give you or share the file direct if that’s easier!

Do I have to pay travel expenses?

We have a general rule of traveling within a 30 mile radius, after which, we may ask for travel expenses.

However, we like to be flexible and will assess this on a case-by-case basis.
